Asian ecosystems are at the forefront of innovations in new technology, from AI in China, Robotics in Japan, and Govtech in India. However, Nordic entrepreneurs rarely engage with Asian markets, either from a co-creation, scaling, or investment standpoint. This is due to many reasons, including the majority of late-stage investments coming from US and UK based investors. We will explore the investment landscape in Asia, and try to answer the question if and how Asian investors can play a role in the Nordic startup ecosystem. Time permitting, we will also explore how investors play an important role in global scaling, and what it takes for Nordic startups to succeed in Asian markets.
